Three Partners. One Vision. A Brand Built to Last.
When three experienced legal partners came together to form Bater Watkins Brown, they needed more than a logo—they needed a brand that reflected their shared values, communicated their strengths, and made the right impression from day one.
That meant getting everyone aligned. Keeping the process structured. And paying attention to every last detail.
THE Process
Step 1: Setting the Vision
We started with a straight-talking consultation. What did they want the firm to stand for? What did they want clients to feel? What were the non-negotiables?
We built the brief together—covering tone, style, direction, and the boundaries we wouldn’t cross.
Step 2: Exploring Creative Directions
Next, we created a set of tailored moodboards—different visual routes the brand could take, each grounded in the initial vision.
The partners reviewed, discussed, and narrowed them down to a shortlist. This was about focus—not throwing ideas at the wall.

Step 3: First Designs & Decision Making
From that shortlist, we built out the first full set of brand design options. The team took time to reflect. After a weekend of thinking (and no small amount of back-and-forth), they chose the direction that felt like “them.”
Step 4: Refining the Final Identity
We worked the chosen design over—dialling in the typefaces, adjusting colour palettes, and shaping the finer brand elements until everything clicked.Precision mattered. This wasn’t about decoration. It was about identity.
Step 5: Building the Brand Guidelines
Once the design was final, we created a full brand guideline system to match. The goal: give them a practical, foolproof kit to keep the brand looking sharp, consistent, and on-point—wherever it shows up.
From digital assets to printed materials, everything was thought through and delivered.

The Result
A visual identity the whole partnership could get behind.
A structured, professional design process that made decisions easier.
And a clear, easy-to-use toolkit that ensures the brand always looks as good as it should—on screens, in print, and in the eyes of every client.

Thanks to Matthew Barroccu and the team at New Realm Creative for our new logo and branding. I’ve worked with Matt for over 7 years now and can recommend him 100%
